Basically write a book and sell it. This is a great option if you love to write and are able to be disciplined. Personally this would be the hardest for me because I enjoy it but I can't focus on it long enough. I have been reading a lot of personal growth books and they are helping point me in the direction of baby steps instead of ,how apparently we all want, having an epiphany and magically doing it. Here are a couple of books that i have found helpful in this matter. I don't know if this is the path I'll go, but these books have helped give me direction
Obviously that is what this website is You write content that people like and do links to products or services. You get a tiny fraction of something from the affiliate link. I figured that I would start on the blog side of things because it will force me to start writing. With the Atomic Habits book that I read that seems to be the biggest take away. You have to "put in you reps". I won't ever be a writer until I write. I won't ever be a good writer until I write a lot. I won't ever write a lot until I start writing consistently. These are obvious statements, I know, but most things in life are obvious. You just have to take a minute and look at them. So I'll write two blog posts a week. I'll also be reading blogs and getting a feel for how things are run.
This is basically the same thing as blogging, but having a lot of video content. This could be more around youtube or other multimedia social media platforms. Instagram, facebook, yatta yatta. You can incorporate videos in your blogs, which I am more likely to do instead of a full blown vlog.
So freelancing is just a different, more gig or contract, based job. You have a project and you do that project. The value in learning to do this work and getting paid is that you can learn the skills to branch out and get better at your own personal blog, ebook, or other content, Basically get paid to learn a new skill. You can also just start writing and go from there. The idea is great for learning, but not really the intent of this. My goal is to do a thing and make money on that thing more than one time. An investment not a job where my time is directly traded for money.
Everyone is good at something. If you think you are good at anything consider teaching this skill to other people. My background is engineering and I'm pretty sure I could teach someone how to create an engineering design company, at a high level, bu tI don't know if I have enough details for a full course. I know beer, and hiking, and excercising. If I could find a hobby that I wanted to explore I could teach a full blown course. The course creaion seems fairly daunting and seems like the most time consuming. I do believe there are applications that simplify course creation. they story board and kind of provide templates. Here is a link to a few of these services....XXXXXXX
So I thought this would be fun. I though I could just call up a friend and record our conversation. While it might be that easy to do. There is a lot of editing that needs to occur, but this could still be a fun way to learn about things and talk to interesting people. Then if people listen there are sponsership options for some side money. I still like this idea
Honestly not sure about this one. I think it is the same as blogging but people just watch your videos on a website... I'm not so sure on this one, but it segways into creating other content.
This can be similar to blogging or more like just entertainment.. I've watched hundreds of car reviews. I've seen a lot of science videos and hundreds of "why am I watching this" videos. This is definitely a more broad option because it is mostly a platform for any sort of audio video entertainment. The idea is the same as the other content. People visit. If people visit enough you get ads. Enough adds/ views you get money.
I'm not on social media really, so this one is not my jam. I put it on here because maybe it is an avenue if /when the other options grow.
